No disrespect to the many fine comedians listed, but Murray, Akroyd, Belushi, et al, outshine them all.

Phil Hartman is one of my favorites; also really liked Farley and Dennis Miller.

Hammond's Bill Clinton and the Monica Lewinsky scandal was one of the best things to ever happen to the show.

Phil Hartman and Bill Murray come immediately to mind. Kevin Nealon was most underrated. Belushi was best physical comedy. Miller was money on The Desk as was Colin Quinn . I also really liked John Lovitz, Norm McDonald and Mike Meyers. Special shout out to Tim Meadows.

What do you consider the golden days? I feel like you'd get multiple answers. Obviously the first 5 seasons.... the 90s were really two separate eras of quality and a growing appreciation of the early 00s is growing in the current college crowd.

Hard one.
It's hard to beat Belushi, Ackroyd, Chase, Murray, Radner, Curtain, Morris & Newman.
But the cast late 80's and early 90's with Hartman, Nealon, Carvey, Myers, Lovitz, Jackson, Hooks, Dunn, Farley, Spade, Hartman & Sandler were very good.
These were the two greatest. There were some other great cast members, but just happened to be stuck with weak support...the two that come to mind right a way are Eddie Murphy & Will Ferrell.
If I had to pick just one, I guess I would go with Belushi.

Favorite ever is probably Will Ferrell.
Also loved Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, and I always really liked Bill Hader of the recent ones. Always killed it imo.
