I'm going to say it in both threads as major props to "The Bus".
Arguably, the best HS team I have ever seen was that 89 Shaw team. Ended up with four on the Super Dozen (and never won state).
A backfield with Ike Wilson, Inurell Chester, Kendall Bussey, Murray White
. D1 talent was all over that team.

Anyone who watched Newman play Opelousas Catholic and get whupped like a dog by a little AA school will tell you there were no big time recruits on Newman's team. That was the most overrated bunch I have ever seen.

I know they are AA fool. Newman likes to think of themselves as a school who can beat anyone at any level. OC was weak this year and beat them. Cavalry only beat OC 45-0 the next week and played their freshman team in the second half. Newman was in a weak district and overrated all year. Sorry you are butthurt.
