I just moved in to a new house and the computer is too far away from where my XBox is located so I'm having cables run throughout, but I want wifi covering the home as well.

i wish my roommate had cat6 run through his house last year wen he had it under contract, before the sheetrock went up

I'm totally ignorant when it comes to all of this stuff. I'm having Cox Internet hooked up at my house this weekend. I don't have a desktop in the house. All of my devices are wireless. (Laptop, tablets, etc.)
Is it better for me to get an all-in-one or a modem with separate router?
