Props to Dantonio. Does ANYONE think meyer would have the ballsack to do that?
So I am assuming that no one here knows that Marcus Hall did not a play a minute of the B1G Championship game.
I won't even say that Meyer is tough at disciplining players, but to see SEC fans come here and preach about the morals of coaching is comical.

That's right I forgot about that. It could be something else then.

Meyer would have swept it under the rug & suspended him from the first 2 minutes of each quarter & called it discipline.
Or even better, left it up to his players to vote on?

It is rather comical when you think about the situations this year involving Manziel and Jeremy Hill. At face value those situations were much, much worse yet the total combined penalty for both players was a first half suspension vs a virtual high school team. Hill was only punished "internally", whatever that means.
I know it's all heresay (and some homerism) but I don't think there's a better RB in the country than Carlos Hyde. If he plays in the first 3 games he would have been close to 2,000 yds rushing and a leading Heisman candidate. A pretty stiff penalty if you ask me.
And although Elfein is a solid backup at OG, not having Hall vs MSU did affect our offense. He could have played but Meyer sat him out. Not sure how either of these situations is unethical.

Lets look at the crappy defenses he played against???? Oh ok...

In terms of total defense, MSU #1, Wiscy #6 and Iowa #7.

Hill didn't play a single snap in the first game, against a ranked team (at the time).

If it's anything less than NCAA violation/cheated on a test/high level misdemeanor then I think he should play.

Let's be real here. Signing a few autographs to make a quick buck is not a much much worse situation than assault

Wasn't he cleared to play though but just didn't get in the game? I have a real problem with someone convicted of a sex crime, then violates probation but somehow avoids suspension or being kicked off the team. "Let the team vote"...ok

Yes, he did travel and dress.
I was surprised Les handled it the way he did myself...this is the same guy who kicked off the team his 5* starting QB and his Heisman Trophy finalist DB.

You want to talk about being misinformed and then talk like les Miles actually let the players decide whether to let him back or not?
Miles already made that decision to let him come back, it was just a gesture to bring it to the team and let them decide if they would accept him back. This happens all the time.

He was reinstated to the team. The internal discipline was him not playing in the season opener.

I really don't understand why people make this out to be so ridiculous. It's obvious that Miles made the decision to bring him back on the team. The "team vote" was just a way for him to make the players feel involved and feel like they also have a voice. Anybody that thinks Miles didn't 100% make the call to bring him back is fooling themselves. And I don't think he was ever hiding behind a team vote either.

From a legal standpoint, I agree 100%. However, Hyde was never charged yet still served a 3 game suspension. In terms of NCAA violations, what Manziel did was much worse. He took $$$ and got away with it scott-free.
The tats for autographs scandal with tOSU was wrong and the players involved were rightly punished for it. It effectively ended Pryor's tOSU career, Posey was suspended 8 games and Herron and Adams also had multi-game suspensions their senior years. They definitely deserved it but what sucks is that there is no consistency with the NCAA.

I thought this was never proven. Didn't the NCAA "drop" the investigation
