S&W Bodyguard .380

Anyone have one, and your thoughts.

I settled on the BG because I never carry my other guns consistently because of the size and comfort.

I figure with this pistol I will carry it everyday.

Small
Light
Could do without the laser
For some reason it felt weird seeing the hammer come backwards. It distracted me at first
I suck at shooting them

Good pocket carry gun though. Practice A LOT because I was shooting like 8" groups at 15ft(not good enough to meet my standards). It isn't my gun though

it's ok. I have a Sig P238 and a Ruger LC9. They both fill a need.

Don't have one. If I selected a S&W carry, it would likely be one of their wonderful J-frame revolvers.

I had a Walther PPK that was a sweet, sweet shooting gun - a little heavy by today's standards, but disappeared into a pocket. The new generation of .380s are awesome.

If you're happy with it - great. Personally, I will very likely get either a Kahr subcompact 9mm, OR a Ruger LCR to fill the role the Bodyguard is filling for you.

And the gun you have on you is infinitely better than all the guns in the world you don't have - when the moment of crisis arrives.

Getting a PM9 may have been the best firearm decision I've ever made.

Large enough to shoot fairly well, not too painful to dump 100 rounds through, legit caliber, easy to conceal.

I went through about 5 pocket holsters before settling on one, and I pocket carry almost every day. IWB is simple.

Money is no object: Kimber solo or kahr pm9. $850
I like my money: Kahr CM9. $450

If you are going for a small 380 opt for the smallest 9mms out there. They arent snappy at all. Very manageable.

These carry guns have low firepower. Only 7 rounds. They are for getting out of trouble. Though 7 shots is enough.

There will be 100 replies with 100 different responses.

Go to a range and rent guns. Shoot them and do more research.

The idea is to protect yourself, not please other people with what they think you should buy.

Do what you want. If you want a 380. Start w that. But 9s are so small now.....

Laugh all you want at the cheap Uncle Mikes IWB Neoprene holster, but I have worn one of these everyday for 3 years with my Glock 22.

It is super comfortable.

Do yourself a favor and get the Sig P238 or P938. The Bodyguard has a mile long double action trigger that is horrible IMO. My wife has one that I have put exactly one round through and will never put another one. My P238 is frickin sweet
