Help me figure out this movie

There is this Christmas movie, or I'm pretty sure it is, that has polar bears in it and a "war".
It was supposedly a Christian movie or something anti Christian and was a trilogy but they only made one.
I can't think of the name of it.. Probably came out within the last 6 years

Yeah it was the Golden Compass. From my memory, I think it was the anti-Christian version of the Narnia series. Or maybe The Lord of the Rings Haha I for some reason remember it being a anti-Christian rebuttal to one of those series.

They kill God in the third book. The first book really doesn't have much to do with religion other than that there's a tone of an over zealous religious state that they live in.
The writer is also a self proclaimed atheist. He's a bit extreme about it.

I saw the Golden Compass and it doesn't really sound like what you're describing. Are you sure it's not Caddyshack II?
