Guys like Carlos Strickland, Devante Peete, etc could also have an effect on what instate players get offers

That's a deep class of WRs. There's no way LSU can take all those guys. Be prepared to lose quite a bit.

Yeah. There are several of that group that I'd like to get, but Johnson is the only one I think would hurt to lose.

How would it "hurt?" When there are very talented other kids that LSU will probably pick up.

Because I doubt all of the WR recruits we land will be as good or better than him. I think he'll end up as a consensus top 2-3 at his position player. There are definitely other guys out there with talent, but I don't know that there are many that are as good or better than Johnson.

Watch below. Johnson's number 1 for a reason!

quote:

Tyron Johnson

This should have its own thread

quote:

Derrick Dillon

Derrick 2011

quote:

Jaquel Grant

2011 Jaquel
hudl

These three are the cream of the crop...for now.

Does his recruitment go somewhat like Darrell Williams?

Chigbu reminds me of Michael flyod. He has a long stride but doesn't get run down. Jazz Ferguson is athletic but mot wr athletic. Kid has great size moves well makes catches with hands could move to DE and be a stud. Jaqual Grant like Chigbu is a big kid a little bit more sudden of a athlete though. Chigbu is more physical though. Casper- Smith plain and simple is a athlete. Not a qb, not a wr, not a db but if he had to be just one he could be excellent at either if he chose to. Chatman catches everything from his body great body control might have more potential than everybody on this list other than Tyron Johnson. Tyron Johnson explosive, sudden, exciting he should be hoing to someone college team this recruiting class. Derrick Dillon fast and strong breaks arm tackles well accelerates out of cuts extremely well. Stanley Morgan more quick than fast but is a playmaker. Kavonte Turpin super quick but being 5'9" would be more of a all purpose back and return man. He has all the tools to be a special pr/kr cause of his speed.

I was talking about Ducre in relation to Williams, sorry about the confusion

As they are big powerful backs. Ducre could definitely play some LB, IMO. He isn't the highest on the board at RB, but still a stud.
Like most people thought with Williams, theres a good shot Ducre gets offered but he may have to wait until he shines at camp or during his senior campaign

I could see a couple of those names mentioned earlier being stud defensive backs in P&G

Not enough room for everyone though.

Several will go out of state, and several will go to Tulane, ULL, Tech, etc

wouldn't surprise me if Jazz ends up at LaTech since his brother, Jay, is going to go there

This is exactly how I view it.

I also want Miles to let Dillon play the Shepard role with at least 3-5 touches a games.

OK State is recruiting Johnson hard. Pitching him on being the next Dez Bryant/Justin Blackmon in their offense.

Being recruited by Eric Henderson. Guy's becoming good recruiter in the state. From New Orleans, played a G-Tech.

Same guy who flipped Boo Palelei and got commitments from the two Karr kids.
