Yeah the reason the clock starts running when the ball is set even after a runoff is done to keep an offense from intentionally false starting in order to get a 'timeout' so to speak.

It was actually only a 22 yard td pass against auburn. We were already will within fg range.

Are you kidding? They had 2 friggin plays there
Auburn 2007 flashback. But didn't complete this one. Would have had he picked the open guy in the middle.

This. Even though it was Flynn's fault, people acted like "the mad hatter" opted for a last second td pass instead of the easy gw field goal.

LINK
Referees cost the Packers another chance for a game-winning play.
Link helps explain why Flynn waited to snap the ball. Also explains why they were only able to run one play in the final 10 seconds. Does not explain how Flynn missed Jordy Nelson wide open in the end zone.

I am amazed at how McCarthy is able to keep his calm with officials. If anybody was ever going to lose it on officials, it could have been him with the Seattle Hail Mary fiasco, and now this. Coaching in the NFL has too much pressure involved to let incompetent officiating affect games, playoff spots, and playoff seedlings.

That explains a lot. The whole sequence seemed weird
Refs
Refs

The game would have been tied. And there's no guarantee it would have been complete. And he missed a wide open Jordy Nelson on the first try.
They're still "win and in" for the postseason.

Eh, a good QB would have overcome that.

Damn that fricked up by the ref.

He was told not to snap the ball. Refs had money on the game. He didn't get $14.5 million for playing a career best game. He got it for doing his job.
