This isn't about meeting expectations, this is about Anthony Davis' timeline, different paths being available that weren't available in the past, and Monty continuing to fail to show he's anything special. If we finish strong because we execute well that's one thing, but if we finish strong because we're healthy when other teams aren't and teams are resting starters for the playoffs, then the record doesn't tell the whole story. Like I said, we'll hopefully know it when we see it.

He's been very, very good. But he's still a year away from being the best player on a good team. Figuring out what type of players he needs is a lot of what the next couole of years are about.

Like what? Not a knock. Legit question. What are you thinking?

This is the key for this season. Developing consistent, good 2 way play. Even if they lose, we need to be looking for signs that they are getting it.

The key thing to remember IMO is that everyone- players and coaches- is still learning. And while that is happening, the FO is evaluating all of it.
