re: Plea to the Monty haters

The Pelicans' offensive success has been inconsistent at best and has more to do with individual play than it does with scheme or coaching. Guys have great nights here and there and sometimes turnovers turn into a ton of points.

The fact remains that the Pelicans' while 11th in offensive scoring this season are 27th (or 4th to last) in the league in scoring defense.

Their team defense is horrible, their individual defense is mediocre to bad with a few exceptions.

They have not won a single game against a team that is 0.500 or better this season, but they've beaten a bunch of mediocre to bad teams.

You see sparks of what this team could be, but overall they look poorly coached and unorganized. That falls entirely on Monty and has been the case for 2.5 years now. This is whether he's had talent or not on the team.
