I'm thankful for his one good year, but it was time. A message needed to be sent.

Hate to see Hartley go, but it's a results-driven business and he just wasn't performing. In the grand scheme of things, nobody will remember the subpar performances he's had recently, all they'll remember is THIS. And that's definitely not a bad thing.

I think the favorites from the tryout last month were Shayne Graham (another Graham cracker ginger) and Derek Demke.

So who is being brought it?

I'm glad Payton did this. It's at least showing he's not fricking around.

We could go about it endlessly

For me, it's the NFCCG FG. I can't tell you what it felt like -- I never, ever thought the Saints would go to a SB in my lifetime. Seeing that ball go through the uprights and hearing Jim Henderson say "Pigs have flown...", I felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. The Aints were dead. Forever.
