That hodgepodge receiving corps now lacks a deep threat, and it's best producers, Colston and Moore are losing a step.

With Jimmy drawing double teams on almost every play, you would think Colston would be having a career year? Nope. Barring a couple of really big games, he wont make 1000yds this season despite staying healthy for most of it.

Colston was clearly playing through injury. Since being able to sit out in week 9 he has 37 catches for almost 500 yards and 4 TDs. That includes 2 games against teams that are top 5 in pass defense.

HAHA! 2nd in the league in Comp%, even with a bad game yesterday completed the ball to 8 different guys, and with that sad Oline we saw yesterday there are only 5 teams in the league with less sacks given up.

So you're saying you have not seen the passes just barely in reach of the receivers this year? He was catching receivers in stride a couple of years ago, but it seems this year a lot of our guys are having to lay out to make catches. This affects our receivers' ability to get yards after the catch. I am not knocking Brees, but there is a substantial gap in quality between this year and 2 years ago, purely from the standpoint of throwing the ball accurately.

And yes, he completed passes to 8 different receivers this game, but Graham has been targeted more than anyone else on this team and he has stared him down - making easy play for secondaries. This has been a habit all season.
