1982, we had a week of rediculous winter weather. On a monday it was 3 degrees. The next night wasn't as cold, but still well below freezing and it rained. Was without power for days.

Where is this super freeze prediction coming from?

The only super freeze I've ever seen in the south was February 1996. I doubt it gets that bad.
The super freeze in 89 blew up Exxon Mobile

We went fishing at Cocodrie that winter-the Redfish were so cold they were swimming on the top of the water and we could net them!! Had a great fish fry that night..

This and were I worked at, I had to work thru that night in it.
Everything was breaking. Three powerplant units went down that night even though we gave it hell to keep them running. Posted on 12/15/13 at 8:48 am to The Boat
