I tend to think that the small quantity of OL recruits this year is a direct result of Stud being on his way out...that position is not being recruited in a very forward thinking way ATM. I mean a couple prospects have popped up here and there like Kelly but after CRob went off the board it has been too quiet. I think they're kinda saying frick it, we have two OL we know are real good ones already in this class...when the new guy comes in we'll let him choose his guys next year rather than him being stuck with Stud's evals on guy's that are far down the board.

I suspect next year LSU will have a new OL coach and stock up on a large class.

sorta agree, but at the same time you have consistently replenish the well or else it runs dry…. you can't have 5 OL in one cycle, then 2 in the next, then 3 or 4, then 1, etc… take the same or similar amount, even if less heralded, and DEVELOP them…

It runs in cycles. Look at Bama this year. They are losing a ton of OL talent. And they are loading up on OL recruits (6 as of now). Almost too many IMO, as I'm thinking they may lose a last minute guy for that reason...
