1) I really think trading Gordon is part of the plan unless they think the 3 guard thing not only can work, but can work in the playoffs.

2) Tyreke has provided much more than "just a 3rd guard/back-up SF". Pretty much every game he's played well we've won in true 6th man fashion. I'm not saying Vasquez couldn't be a 6th man, just not as good and this team would probably have much fewer wins. Evans also puts a lot more pressure opposing defense and gets to the line twice as often per 36 as Vasquez. Not only does that help get opposing bigs in foul trouble, it gets you closer to the penalty leading to easy offense. I've always felt Vasquez would get Jarrett Jack money which means about $6 per year, so while that's not super expensive, he won't be a value player much longer.

I hope Dell sticks with this core for the entire season. There is reason to believe that the current guard rotation's slashing style can do some serious damage in the playoffs because of the foul trouble they could cause for opposing front courts.
