And he got an extremely diverse, talented player for him, who still has a lot of room for growth. frick the haters, GV is long gone
I just don't agree with this. It was a horrible trade IMO. He gave away Vasquez and Lopez just to make salary cap room and to give Evans a huge contract. I'd have rather kept those two instead..

Vasquez hasn't done shite so far this year. He's a classic good stats bad team guy. Not to mention Evans makes Gordon expendable if Gordon keeps play decently and we get a good offer for him

long-term, what does keeping GV and lopez do?
lopez would help, but he wasn't exactly a defensive force or anything. he wouldn't cure our ills
i'd love it if we could magically get him back at that salary, but that salary got in the way of improving our team
GV would be a backup pg and not worth his salary at all, especially if we consider roberts' ability/salary
last offseason built up the backbone of our roster. this almost assuredly is not the final step
evans had a rough start, but he's giving us what we need: a bench scorer and a possible replacement for gordon IF we can move him for that big (one that will almost certainly be better than lopez)
