Saban will not get formal offer until Mack has officially resigned

I highly doubt this. I think Mack being forced out is dependant on Saban coming otherwise they keep Brown on as coach.

I 100% believe everything you have written is true. imo (ok, based on sources but I am very reluctant to say that w/o naming them) both ut and saban want a deal. mack's handling is the only obstacle because if he refuses (and it will be very lucrative money wise for him to go along) they (ut) just may not have the balls (collectively) to fire him. the university's faculty and large academic donors are not happy about what the football program is doing to their image. they largely don't give a shite about how many games any coach wins or loses.

Why in the hell would a university hire or fire a president based solely on football ?

Wow, speaking of priorities being out of whack.

Info is 100 % true, I have no doubt, but it doesn't make sense, Texas truly is a dumpster fire.

This sounds reasonable. I don't think Texas will pull the trigger on Mack unless it is close to 100% confident that they have the position filled already. They are not going to fire a successful coach and then start looking around. If they don't have assurances that the coach they have identified as their target will take the job, my guess is that Mack will be back another year. Of course, I might be overestimating the competence of the Texas administration, but I would be shocked if they did something drastic without knowing in advance how all this would play out.

Based on the those numbers it looks like Saban will be named "Head Coach in Waiting" next year while Mack stays to try and break Darrel Royals record. Only logical solution.

The Texas offer better be more than 10 mill per year because the PTB @ Bama are prepared to play. Yeah i know, I know...Bama doesn't have as deep a pocket as Texas...spare me...but I've learned that Bama will play the game with Texas to see how deep Texas is willing go.

Mack called his shot publicy on 2013 being the year. Anything else is a desparate man trying to hold on to his cush job.

Ash is maybe done so that leaves inexperienced swopes as the only hope. Which sorry to say swopes is no Vince young. Mack let brewer leave because of his allegiance to case McCoy.
