Yeah Mack completely lost the fan support. Starting off the year giving up over 500 yards rushing to BYU sealed his fate.

I think Mack was going to be gone either way. There's nothing in place with Saban and them right now but that UT swagger has them believing that he won't be able to turn down their offer.

In short, it's a calculated risk. They know that Saban could decline their offer but they're going to make it tough for him to do so.
