No link, but WWL TV just reported that Ted Brennan won a victory at the state court of appeals, and has announced that he and his daughter will reopen Brennans. Apparently, none of the appellate court judges ever ate there........

I havent seen the report, but it might mean Ted won control of the Brennan's business. Which means he could reopen a Brennan's in another location.
But where Brennan's is now is not going to reopen as Brennan's, but a different restaurant owned by Ralph Brennan.

also, not in this article but I read something in Nola a week or so ago asking about the fate of the exceptional wine in the cellar on the premises. will be interesting to see how this plays out. although for me it reinforces yet again why I'd rather give me business to other establishments than those owned by this As The World Turns modeled family.
quote:
Ted and family may reopen the original Brennan's restaurant, but probably not at the original Royal Street location. The cash-strapped Brennan's Incorporated was forced to sell the Royal Street property at auction in May to pay creditors. Ted and Pip's cousin, restaurateur Ralph Brennan, purchased the landmark pink townhouse. Until the bankruptcy, Brennan's Inc. still owned the name and rooster logo of the world-recognized eatery.
So there was a chance one or both of the warring brothers could have reopened the old Brennan's at a new location. If the bankruptcy court has not yet moved to liquidate the company, that may still be a possibility.
