Do you know anything about the depth off Texas City Dike Road? It starts in Texas City and ends near the northern point of Seawolf. I've never been but I wonder if one side doesn't drop off quickly.

Actually, I forgot about this one spot. In the winter, the current causes a swirl in this one area that bores out a pretty deep a little less than 100 feet from shore.

Go out to the end of the dike road. Go to the furthest NE point. There will be a small rock jetty that only juts out about 100 ft toward the North. That hole is to the NE of the middle of that small jetty. There can be some wicked currents there. I've seen jacks, large flounder, sharks, and all kinds of ocean fish caught there (about 20-25 feet if I remember correctly). It's not as deep as Fort Point, but it's the next best thing.

On the south side of the jetty, about a mile and a half from the end of the jetty, there is a green channel marker #11. During the summer, I've had good luck in that area from a boat about 500 feet from shore. I don't know how the fishing is closer to shore.
