OK, then by what you just said, Houston says yes to this. NOLA says yes to this. Does Portland?

No probably not..but Houston isn't moving Parsons without getting back someone that would give them a "Big 3".

Sending Parsons and Brian Roberts to Portland and Batum to NOLA with everything else the same works. Maybe the Pels would prefer that given the certainty of having Batum the extra season under contract, and I don't think that there's a big difference between Batum/Parsons outside of the significant salary difference this season. If you think Portland says no to that, I don't know what to tell you. Lillard/CJM?/Parsons or Batum/Ryno/Asik is a pretty damn good lineup. Portland could just hold onto both Batum and Parsons in hope of getting a better fit than Ryno, but that's not going to happen.

ETA: And plus that puts the Pelicans in the predicament of having to leave one of Gordon, Reke, and Batum/Parsons on the bench to end games in favor of a big man that's inferior to Ryno. Either Jones or Smiht.
