Well that was an easy 10%.

down buy some DGAZ and try to double that...

Probably going to buy 1000 shares of UGAZ when it hits $2.00 mark. What you think?

For my sake I hope it doesn't get back down there

Ugly day. My UGAZ just barely tripped my stop this morning before the big run up and I had no stop in place on my DGAZ. 'Spensive mistakes.

If it gets back to 2 I'll definitely get back in

I know I've come into this thread and spoiled the fun before, but I just don't understand this line of thinking with a 3x leveraged ETF.
History has shown us that UGAZ will go below 2 in the future and will keep on going lower eventually. Why is $2 your arbitrary point?
You'd be much better served to pick a jump in point based on the spot price of NG. For instance, "if NG gets to $2.50 spot, I'll jump back in, regardless of the price of UGAZ. "
This is the 2 year chart on UNG, UGAZ, and DGAZ:
UNG down ~38.5%, UGAZ down 92%, and DGAZ down 35%.
You want a virtually guaranteed way to make money? Find a brokerage firm that would let you short both UGAZ and DGAZ. Easy money.

I have no logical reason, over the past few months it has bounced around 2. when it goes below 2 if feel relatively strongly that it will go above 2 within 1-10 days.
This is just me day trading for fun. If I lose my entire day trading account, I wont be out much and my life will not change.

Slackster is correct in my opinion. Leveraged etn's and etf's are for short term trades.
FWIW, I do exactly what he says and pick an average price point of forward contracts.
I'm going long natty gas soon. Likely UNG. Possibly leaps until 2017 if I can get correct pricing. Possible selling puts to collect income, and/or reduce cost of entry if shares get put to me.

dude, I'm sure you know what you're saying with all of your posts and that they make good educated sense to the seasoned investor, but most of the time I have no idea what you're talking about

Can you guys help me understand exactly what UGAZ is? I've seen its been as high as 36, but now $2+...how low could it theoretically go? What's the risk in buying at $2? Thanks and remember, I'm still learning!
Posted on 4/30/15 at 10:33 pm to Bucktail1
It is a likely candidate for a reverse split, possibly at 1:10, which would bring the price into the 20s.
At some point in the next year or two, it will go back down to 2 from there, and the process will repeat itself.
UGAZ, or any 3x leveraged ETF, may be one of the worst possible investments you will find for a beginner, and this is coming form someone who has owned it off and on in the last few years.

Ok, that explains a lot! Thanks for helping me learn!

What about long, long term i.e. IRA? Chance it will eventually scoot way back up?
Also, UGAZ vs UWTI?
Thanks.
