Somebody in the LSU admin did a great job before last Friday

I made a comment after the A&M game that somebody in the LSU administration needs to figure out a way to fill in the big gap of seats under the scoreboard that remain unfilled for most games. Low and behold, for the Arkansas game, those seats were filled up with fans. I don't know who they sold those tickets to, or what they did to fill it up, but that eye sore was taken care of, even with a lower than usual student section turnout.

It had nothing to do with it being the last home game of the season.

IDK how they did it. Those sections are part of the student section yet they were packed while lower parts of the student section had many empty seats. Whatever they did, they need to keep doing it.

They always sell the remainder of the student tickets for the Arkansas game that students don't buy to the general public

That was just the student section trying to stay in the Sun.

They've done it the past few times we've played Arky at home because they know a ton of students go home for the holiday.

I noticed that at the time. Odd.
Perhaps, due to the holiday, fewer student tickets were available for that game. We would have never noticed before, since in 2007 & 2011 we were sitting at #1 and the stadium was completely full. But clearly when the students didn't show up for this one, the gaps weren't in those sections.

Don't they sell these seats to the public every time we play Arkansas the day after Thanksgiving?

I bought tickets in that section for the A&M game. I got an email from the Ticket office saying there were tickets available to purchase and ended up buying 6 for friends and that is where they were. So, I guess they got tired of them not being used. That is why I think there will definitely be a reduction in the size of the student section next year.
