LSU is currently ranked 20th in Total Defense in the country, 16th in Pass Defense. You're being duped because there were some pretty badly botched zone coverages throughout the season. The DB's main problem this year is play recognition, primarily due to inexperience and the fact that Loston just doesn't have great football instincts.

Robinson is a situational player at this point, it's pretty easy for a stud DB to play man right off the bat.

That and when you have to cover offensive players for an extended period of time because the line or LB's aren't putting any pressure on the QB, you're not going to be successful either.
