TBH, I doubt the ref had the guts to award a touchdown even if Tomlin had contacted Jones during the return.

I remember that the Jets were fined 100,000 for one of their coaches forming "player walls" during special teams play and that was some strength and conditioning coach. Tomlin is a head coach and they are understandably held to a higher standard.

I can totally understand a $50,000-$100,000 fine for Tomlin and the loss of a 7th round pick. It sets a clear example that no one can be out of the designated area and possibly interfere with the play on the field.
