I really enjoy both. Bioshock moreso than Assassin's Creed. I would start with the second Assassin's Creed.
I'd also Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, they're darker fantasy RPGs.

Well, their stories are separate and the bosses in each are fantastic and require different tactics. While they're similar on the surface, I'd say that both are very good and need to be played.
