Bad Sportsmanship or Good Strategy??

Playing against the team this week that I'm battling with for the #2 seed.
He has a good bit of players on bye including his 2nd QB (2 QB league)
I have already picked up Jason Campbell to block him from picking him up.
Making his only other option Tolzein..
Should I drop my 4th WR, Dobson, to pick up Tolzein for this week???
No Waiver waiting period.

That's probably the only form of cheating I can't stand in Fantasy Football.
Again, form of cheating.
Don't do that shite.

I would rather him have Campbell (vs PIT) than Tolzein (vs MIN). If you ain't cheating you ain't trying.

Why is it cheating if it isn't against the league rules with an unlimited # of waiver moves?
Do you think that in the NFL a player that is released may get claimed off waivers just to block another specific team from getting him??
Is that cheating?

Bad sportsmanship. Just beat him regular.

Good Strategy. Should have been deeper/ more prepared.

Never been in a 2 QB league but someone has to explain to me how this is cheating and/or bad sportsmanship.

If money was on the line I'd do it for sure.

Yes, money is on the line....$1500 league winnings...Not a lot, but enough to try my damndest to win

If he needed tolzien why hasn't he picked him up yet?
Posted on 11/20/13 at 11:13 am to Lester Earl
Not sure why he hasn't...Just wanted to snag him before he has a chance

I would definitely do it. It is not cheating at all. A good fantasy player would pick up a QB a week or 2 in advance of a bye. Blocking people is all part of the game.

Bad sportsmanship? lol
Pick him up and drop that scrub Dobson. It's his fault if he hasn't added a QB.

This
Dude hedged his bets all year by not carrying a 3rd QB on his bench. Is it the best form of sportsmanship? No, but unless you have some sort of weird Bielema esque gentlemens agreement it is hardly cheating. I would have already done it and not thought twice, but I am also an a-hole so take that FWIW
However, OP sounds like a nice guy with a conscious so I would ask yourself what the other owner would do if you were in his position, and act based on that.

I've done it before. It's a good strategy.
Especially if he's had a shot to add him by now

This is a game about roster management, you win by managing your roster better than everyone else.
Do it and don't look back.
