I was hoping for average defense this year. They have far exceeded expectations.

Most of us would be lying if we said we wouldn't be extremely thrilled to break the top 15 in defense this year. Top 5? Holy shite. It doesn't seem real. It's tough to think we actually have a Top 5 defense. It's hard to believe.

We were always towards the bottom of the league in terms of yards allowed. I doubt we were near the top 10 in PPG allowed. We finished 20th at 21.3 and, from week 11 on, we allowed 20.5ppg. Given that our last 7 games were better than our season average, we were probably right around that 20 range at this point. We were almost certainly in the top 3 in turnovers, though.

I think San Diego had the #1 offense and defense a couple of years ago, but they were 7-9.
