A couple of you act like a poster should have to apologize for reminding people that Hayden Rettig is in the mix. He didn't come in as physically mature as Jennings, but who's to say he won't win the job as he develops?
Makes me wonder if a few folks here don't have a reverse agenda in play. You know, the one we arent allowed to mention.

All the charter members of the Dual Threat QB Jock Sniffing Club say that both Rettig and Rivers don't possess the necessary pre-requisites to play QB at LSU. They're melanin challenged and can't run fast.
So is McCarron, but as a Bama Boy, he don't count.
Cam Cameron likes "Single Threat" drop back pro style passing QB's, so something has to give. Miles and his DTQB's vs Cameron and his passing QB's.
Rivers and Rettig have more mobility than Mett does. So I don't think that will be an issue. It will be the player that does best at the position.
Too bad there's a limit on how many scrimmages you can hold. They need to be able to hold enough for each to get quality looks with the first team. A good tweak would be allowing them to all run extensively against the 1st team defense.

You don't have to wonder. If you've followed LSU football since 2003, you'd know it's 100% fact.

Brandon Harris will start from day 1 for the Tigahs. Les even went to his house to let him know. Look for Jennings to transfer after the spring
I won't go that far, but I will say Harris is "freaky" good.

Ive seen tons of practices and scrimmages. Jennings needs to get more accurate,he misses high constantly . I assume if Cam stays around he will improve.. Rettig is Mett 2.0 ,a scarecrow but throws a beautiful accurate ball. Harris, I've not had the good fortune to see.

I was really impressed with AJ in the spring game. I have thought he and Taj Boyd looked very similar every time I've seen either play. He will def contend for the starting job next year.
In college a dual QB scheme if done right is great. Keeps the D off balance, you can get in their heads by having the passing guy hand off, the dual threat guy do lots of play-action, etc. Also, keeps two guys ready. Also, keeps two guys very hungry and focused in practice and in the game. I'm a fan.
Cam is too smart a guy to be stuck on having a drop back passer only. He'll adapt the scheme to the talent we have.

Just an opinion and a guess, but I would put money on Harris red shirting.
History says Les is not going to play a true freshman at QB unless by necessity, and we have a lot returning at QB, so he will redshirt.

He's doing well in the minors. Got called up a few times.

If this is true we will be in for an extremely long season. At best 500 only if defense improves drastically. No where near famous jameis

I understand Jennngs learning the play book was very quick and his execution of the plays was just as quick

Well if everything is pretty much equal, the best thing for LSU would be for Harris to red-shirt. Will that happen probably not. But with Jennings, Rivers and Reiting unless Harris is a difference maker he really should red-shirt.
