According to the Braves, this is not true. They are moving to the outskirts of town, saying their support comes from the northern suburbs.

That's why if we had one our stadium would need to be in metry by causeway and i10... I'd expect our ticket buyers to come from metry, uptown, the river parishes, and the northshore

Urban area includes the city and suburbs...the population of the city of Atlanta isn't significant but the metro is massive. NO urban area is just over 1M, you can't compare it to ATL with a metro 5X as big
