re: Question for everyone regarding Monty

It just sucks because i so badly want to see this roster with a fully healthy anderson, but that won't happen until at least 3 games after he comes back because it's gonna take him time to get anywhere near game shape, especially if he can't condition much with his foot being sore.

Funny thing is, this Pels team is somewhat similar to Karl's team in Denver last season that won 57 games. I think Karl excels with these types of teams.

Holiday/Lawson - height notwithstanding, both are versatile, quick, combo type guards who can knock down the 3.

Ryan Anderson/Gallinari/Wilson Chandler - big, floor spacing three point threats

Evans/Iggy - swiss army knife players who can play 3 positions and fill up the stat sheet (Evans is this player when he's on). Obviously Iggy's D >> Evans, but still...

AD/Faried - It's insulting to compare the two, but both are high energy PF/C who clean up on the inside and provide formidable interior defense.

EG/Brewer - Brewer was one of their key pieces and we really don't have a player like him defensively. Gordon could fill this void. Obviously he is superior offensively and at one point was actually revered as a pretty good defensive player.


You figure the Nuggets attempted 45% of their shots last season in the restricted area (32% this season).

Led the league in fast break points (10th this season).

Led the league in offensive rebounding % (20th this season).

Similar to the Pels, the Nuggets are struggling big time this season without their floor spacers Gallinari and Chandler. But is seems Karl's coaching and offensive philosophy was pretty important to the Nuggets success. 57 wins is pretty damn good.
