I believe after 9 years we know all we need to know about CLM. If he has the talent, he will win, if not then it's 8-4. I think we all know which one it is.

Well said and true. Miles is what he is: Good coach (not great), great recruiter and person. He puts forth a good image for LSU and the program at the national level, although he comes off as a goof at times. But all in all he serves LSU well, just not worth $4M+....no way does he coach up to this level.

A&M game will not change anything about Les Miles.

I think I am going to judge Miles on the past 8 years he has coached here rather than just the A&M game! Nice try though!

as much as a hard time as you guys are giving Dudebro2 he's somewhat on to something...

we are wayyy more than capable of beating aTm, yeah they have JFF but we have a very capable offense and we're playing in TS

we're basically playing in a vacuum right now, win's and losses to us and both aTm change neither's course as far as postseason

It's all about who wants this game more, if Miles is half the coach he's supposed to be, he should be able to rally the troops and get the boys up for this game.

If he can't, I'm not saying fire him by any means, but it will be a big doo doo mark on his resume whether you agree or not.

There's no reason this team shouldn't finish 10-3 not a damn reason at all, if Miles really gives a shite he'll have the team ready and we will win, if not then let the chair get warm...

Ignignot unfortunately the pumpers don't understand logic and can't see out of the purple and gold haze they live in. The purple and gold haze is great, but not reality.

The A&M game is not going to define Miles coaching career an he is not going to get fired or given and extension from the outcome. But what this game will show is exactly everything the man preaches about having the "chest" and the "want and will" to play this game at a "high" level. Those are all words he uses a lot and preaching them is easy, but practicing what you preach is more difficult. This game on Saturday is all about Tiger pride and what it is to play for LSU. Game is on national TV, LSU is the better team and we are playing at home losing this game is not an option. And how Miles prepares his team to play this weekend is important and will just give us more of a glimpse as to what kind of coach Miles is.

A lot of people "after 9 yrs" have made up their minds as to what type of coach he is and whether good or bad they have a lot of history to prove their points either way. But this is not about the past to me this will show us how it will be going forward. Football is a war and if you want your soldiers to fight to the death for you, you better show them that their deaths are not in vein. His team will lay it on the line for him if they feel he has the ability to win it for them. If they don't they will play very apathetic like they have on a few occasions this year and I think that has some bearing on who stays and who leaves early for the NFL not to mention recruiting. How much bearing, don't know but winning helps solve issues that is for sure.

My only point was he has been in this same situation before albeit with different players and they laid a giant turd on the football field. It may tell us something about him, but it may be something we already (should have) known.

You are correct each side has enough information on Miles over the last 9 years to help them argue their points.

My worry, especially from all the early departures last year, is that possibly Miles is truly losing the locker room. You heard that after the BCS-NC game and also after the Chicken bowl last year and to me the way they have played in some of the games this year. No matter what anyone says we should not have lost to Ole Piss. Even Miles critique his own coaching and realized there was a failure to communicate how important games like this were when he stated he didn't get the team motivated enough.

Anyone who has played and coached the game knows one thing, once you have lost faith in the coaching staff you end up not playing full out because of the risk of injury and the fact that playing the game freaking hurts. How many tackles have you walked away keeping your chin up but saying "frick that hurt" and wondering if something isn't broken. And if you play 110% the pain level actually ratchets up exponentially. You end up playing like that for the coaches you have faith in and you ratchet it down just a bit when you lose faith.

Like I will continue to feel, LSU is a better over-all team than A&M and playing at home on National TV should be all the motivation the Tigers need to go out and kick some arse. But the mental aspect of the game is all in the hands of the coaches and what they do to fire up the team to get 110% out of them. We will see how well they did on Saturday. And to me that will give us incite into what the locker room truly thinks about our coach. Actions speak a hell of a lot louder than words, that is for sure.

You hit the nail on the head ... he started loosing the team after the NCS game. Not many people questioned the loss of so many players last year ... many of them were not drafted. So why did so many leave? Miles has some major problems this year ... many will leave just to get away from his program. We are in for a rough ride for the next several years.

Well you can really go frick yourself as I did not look at any other post in this jamming fire Les thread and not a bit more. I have an idea fire Les now as he is and has been incompetent since his first game, his winning per centage sucks so badly that no other school would hire him when he hit the unemployment line of head coaches. Have a nice day you fricking ignorant fricking bastard.

I don't think we're going to find out anything more about Les than we already know....win or lose. He's not Saban, but he's not the worst major college coach, either. Yep...we're 7-3...but we're not 3-7. Besides....anyone see Miles going someplace else in the foreseeable future?? Not me.

Doesn't matter whether you are a sunshine pumper or a so called "nega-tiger" we are going to find out a lot about whether Miles should be coaching LSU going forward or not. LSU has nothing to play for against A&M but pride, no national title, no SEC title and can't win the west. But LSU pride is all that should be needed. Playing against A&M should be all about pride, going out and kicking their arse in Death Valley on national TV should be all that is needed for Miles to get these boys up to play and play at a high level. We are a better team than A&M, they have a great offense but so do we, our defense is struggling but their's is struggling more. But we are playing at home and defending our home turf is all that should be needed for MIles to get his team up to play and win this game. I don't care whether you are negative or positive on Miles, but the Tiger's performance next saturday vs A&M will answer a lot of questions as to whether MIles should truly be coaching LSU going forward. Whether people want to admit that or not it is true, now is the time we are about to find out what kind of "chest" Miles has.
