Yes, I know there's a one year requirement. At a small CPA firm, right out of college you'll probably make $42k-$48k if you have passed zero parts of CPA. If you have passed all or some, you may make a little more in the range of $44k-$50k. The bigger differences in pay come after you have worked a couple of years.

Yep, and get specialized training.

I'm lucky, I have experience and training in multiple odd taxes. I do Motor Fuel Excise mostly, with a decent amount of Tobacco, Telecommunications, Beer, Alcohol, Hazardous Waste, and other odd/end taxes.
