Guided Deer Hunt

I am thinking of giving a guided deer hunt to my dad and my son for Christmas. I have no idea how much something like this would cost. My Dad has heart problems (though you wouldn't know it to look at him) and we don't know how many more years he'll be able to hunt with my son. He is the one who has guided him to a love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Would love to give them this experience together, but don't know if I could afford it. Any suggestions would be welcome.

you are looking at anywhere from $5k to $15k for 2 hunts/hunters.
that's 4 deer (2 bucks and 2 does)
price will depend on size (horns in inches) of the bucks you choose.

Location and timing will be key. The last thing you wanna do is book him on a trip in a rugged area like Colorado, etc where the exertion may prove difficult with his heart condition. Also consider that being out in severe cold wouldnt be ideal either.
I'd recommend looking in the plains states like Kansas, Nebraska or Iowa during an early season hunt like you'd get in muzzleloader season or very early rifle season. These areas are relatively flat so exertion is manageable and the early hunts are cool but not obnoxiously cold.
Be sure to inform the outfitter of your fathers condition and they should be eager to accomodate him. For a good quality hunt that includes lodging, meals, etc. you should be prepared to drop $3,000-4,000 per person minimum.

IDK how important the type of hunting it is to you/him.
But I would look into South Texas. You can find hunts from as low as $2k/hunter for "management" bucks that most of us outside of Texas would consider trophies. To as high as you want to spend. A lot of places will let you kill as many does as you want for nothing as well.
The hunts are much easier there. You get driven to usually nice stands in trucks/jeeps. You sit in a box stand and watch deer all day. Some guides will rattle/stalk deer as well if he'd like to do that.
The weather is comparatively mild, and you can guarantee opportunities to kill deer.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think the TX thing sounds doable and would be a lot of fun for them.
