Would Cam Cameron be a legitimate candidate for HC IF Les retires?

FIrst off I'm a Les Miles fan. I like him as a person and I feel under some difficult circumstances, he's maintained what Saban started at LSU. Is he perfect and the "perfection obsessed" person Saban is? No. But he does have a lot of redeemable qualities and has used LSU's position to recruit very well and produces W's. I hope he stays and gets another Natty in a year or 2.

Now, with that out of the way, if Cam stays at LSU and Les decides it's time to move on say in 2 years, get out of coaching to spend more time with family, whatever, is Cam Cameron a legitimate candidate for the HC position at LSU?

What says the Rant...

no. some people were not made out to be Head Coaches. He is one. He is and always will be a Great coordinator but he dosent have that HC feel. look at his track record as a HC

No. He is not HC material anywhere.

I would think so. He's been a HC at the NFL level. I don't see how he wouldn't be under consideration.

However, the Powers That Be at LSU are still afraid of Mike Archer Syndrome. Never mind that it's been 26 years since he was hired. So there's really no telling.

if we continue to look competent on offense, he develops Mett's successor, and shows some recruiting acumen, then yes.

I watched some of those games when he was at IU on ESPN back in the day (Randle El was good for some exciting football), and their issue was defense and lack of talent. I don't think he'd have those issues at LSU (again, if he can recruit and put a staff together).
