Bar tending is not as fun as you think.... It is very hard if you work at a busy bar

When my mom was a journalist, she would often also teach classes on the side because she enjoyed doing so.

Plenty of 7-and-7 / 28-and-28 offshore folks do this. One of my friends was a highly paid drilling engineer and did substitue teaching on his days off. Another was a volunteer fire chief, and of course there are plenty of tradesmen as well.

I considered getting a job at a shoe repair place just because it'd be cool to learn, but I'm way too busy to do that. I dunno, unless there's something you really want to do, or unless you really need the money, it's hard to justify working on your time off.

As you are young and at your age doing jb for fun is the most enjoyable part as it has nothing to do with family responsibilities but the best part comes when you actually start enjoying your job and make a career out of it .

I work a 40-45 hour a week job that I enjoy and I spend every minute of my spare time reading, researching, or doing an enjoyable activity. I have contemplated adding a second job on the side but it would be a personal business that had a small clientele. I am not trying to interfere with my full-time job as I still have plenty of growth ahead in the field that I am in. My side job wouldn't be vastly different than what I do now, nor do I want to entertain the idea of being a bartender, referee, etc... I like working on computers, writing software, and studying data security. If I can grow within all areas I will be achieving life long goals along the way.
