I had kind of assumed hazing and bullying were left behind after high school, but I guess not. Idiots for doing stuff like that.

life is "high school"
hazing is part of in-group identification for new additions to the group. it's a way to prove how much you want to be part of the group and a stripping down of individuality so that you put the group ahead of yourself. while silly in some situations, it's important for things like team sports
