Well we get most of those. I guess I misunderstood what you meant by giving up Texas beer for CO beer

What did they used to be at the brewery?

before then, you paid to attend brewery tour and you got select number of "free" samples. also could not take anything home before recently
now jester king is starting to make certain beer available at brewery only and for a premium price

is this not par the course for a lot of breweries across the country?

the apple mentality of suppressed supply really does annoy me
if you have a quality product, then get it out to the masses
that being said, these guys should be able to self-distribute. the current distribution system is simultaneously the best and worst system for new and innovative brewing

and i understand disdain for distributors and desire to maximize profit
produce what you want to produce, self distribute to where you want within your area, and make your money
a lot more difficult than i'm saying, but it comes off as a little greedy when you once distributed and then you change policy to start keeping more things in house

I see your side. I can also see thier side (high demand with not alot to go around, lets keep it close to home).
I'm guessing that these are test runs and some of these will see some distribution in the next year or two.
eta: its also on par for a brewery to sell the beer for the same price as a store. It would rub shops the wrong way if the brewery were undercutting them.
