While this is true, I wouldn't put too much stock in one game.
I know. When I saw him play in Detroit, Revis was the best in the league (2010). Held CJ to one catch. It was a treat to watch those two go at it, though

Was Stafford the QB in that game, or was he hurt?
ETA: Stafford played the whole games, minus a play or two.

So he meant to say Reggie Ball?

Nearly impossible to stop any receiver in the NFL with rules not allowing a DB to stare too hard at a receiver beyond 5 yards.
I see more contact allowed underneath the Basket in B-Ball than is allowed in NFL .No exaggeration ,You can barely touch a receiver.
NFL has achieved what it wants with outrageous passing stats & scores.

Not worth reading, but Lester Hayes would have shut him down before Sanders would.

And yet some still wonder why the cowboys are hated on so much

Was Deion's best years even with Dallas. I know you can't judge a DB by his stas, but he had a far better stat line with Atlanta.

He could have shut him down

No, no exaggeration at all!!

This... The only receiver I've ever seen Dieon on unable to shut down was Jerry Rice.
The dude was a human blanket.

Should have said NFL 'secondary' because beyond 5 yards little more than casual 'bumping' can get you a flag.
You can as much as you please ,but there is a reason for the ridiculous passing stats since the implementation of the Blunt rule.
The Patriots pushed the boundaries of the Blunt Rule against the Colts by getting physical with Marvin Harrison recently & Manning,Colts organization ,Harrison, Colts fans,etc.....all whined & the NFL all but put an end to much contact in the secondary. Receivers run routes absolutely UNTOUCHED a majority of the time.

Who is this?
Is this the HS football player who went to prison for statutory rape?
Uhh, no. UGA CB that matched up with Calvin during their careers. Calvin's numbers in those games:
04: 5 for 44, 0 TD
05: 2 for 14, 1 TD
06: 2 for 13, 0 TD
Paul Oliver was CJ's kryptonite.

I want to say Demario minter lined up against CJ more than Olivar fwiw.
Could be wrong though....

I'm just surprised that every one so quickly dismissed the ability of one of the best corners who ever lived to "shutdown" (whatever that means) Megatron.
I know he's a freak, but Deion wouldn't have allowed him to get 300 on Sunday.

I'm sure there was some switching in zone and whatnot, but Calvin was primarily PO's responsibility. Any way you slice it, those 3 year numbers are extraordinarily low for Calvin. And before anyone says "well reggie ball was his QB"...that didn't stop him from putting up numbers against everybody else.

, it's hard to argue that if anyone could do it, it'd be Deion.
I agree here. The best cover corner EVER and its not close.

I think it's safe to say that Jerry Jones is (once again) full of it.

Has this thread gone full blown Reggie Ball?
