Brooks had the longevity there though. Once Sapp left, he continued to keep on having solid seasons.

usually when a D-lineman the caliber of Sapp leaves a team, the whole front seven is never the same.

that wasn't necessarily true with the Bucs. Brooks was a helluva player and I think you can make an argument that he was just as important than Sapp was to Tampa Bay.

when the Bucs got Simeon Rice, that is what really brought it all together I think.
