Doesn't look like it'll be a problem this time around.
Controllers don't make much of a difference to me. I've enjoyed using the original Xbox, 360, and PS3 controllers, and I can't see anything about the PS4 or Xbox One controllers that'll change that.

Holy shite. You need to do the same pictures but add the ps3 controller. I want to see if the DS4 is closer to the 360 controller than it is to the DS3

Same. Only controllers I've had issues with were the tiny Gamestop Gamecube controllers made for little kids.

Those weren't my pictures, and and those were the best comparison shots I found. The only decent ones with DS4 and DS3 I found were these:

The 360s controller is probably my biggest complaint about the system. I absolutely hate it.

That's the first and probably the last time I will ever hear that

Meh...both controllers are completely comfortable to me. I interchange them often with no problems.

You must not be checking enough sites. The 360 D-pad is awful, so that's what he's referring to.

To the OP:
I'm getting a PS4 mainly because of the established series (indie and studio) that Sony has.
If the Xbone starts taking off in the games department, I will look at buying both.

The resolution difference is noticeable on cell phone screens to say the differences in resolution large screen HDTV's is disingenuous.
My phone screen is 15" from my face. My 50" TV will be 8-10 feet from my face.

For me that's a non issue ... I've owned a 360 since it's launch and I don't believe in that time I have played a game with the d-pad even once.
But hey if you play games that require it then I understand.

Same here, I rarely use the D-pad and I've never really noticed any problems with it

I do as well, but I much prefer the 360 controller to the point that if a game is available on both I buy the 360 version.
I can handle the PS3 controller just fine, but the other is much more comfortable for me.
I don't understand people that just absolutely refuse to play with one or the other.

My brother played the One at the Xbox tour at Tulane last week. He said the controller was smaller than he thought it would be.

It really isn't an issue, but I don't buy fighting games for 360 because of it. If I'm not using an arcade stick, then I prefer to use d-pad.
Racing games is the only other game I can think of where I know people who prefer d-pad. (and I buy FPS on 360 over PS3 for its controller advantages)

I use the analog stick for racing games because it gives me a more accurate touch and feel to the game.
My biggest issue I had with the DS of the past is the analog stick always felt very cheap and un responsive to touch also I hate their positioning on the DS.
I will probably get both consoles this go around unless the Steam Machine is awesome, then I'll have a XBONER and that, but still I think this gen consoles are both going to be great.
I can wait to have my xbox with the ps4 on passthrough #winning
