Why is Southern University so bad?

Why can they never field a good team? LSU vs Southern is like Barcelona vs Chicago Fire. Broncos vs jaguars.

$$$+less desirable school to attend+they probably should play IAA or II.

because their athletic program is not even on par with some of the best high school athletic programs in Louisiana, they have no money, and they are playing with the kids nobody else wanted.

They play FCS, but any D-2 school in AR would beat them easily and regularly do!

Im black and I have been saying this for years. There is no longer a need for the HBCU label. It does you no good. Black folk wanted progress.....well you got it, but you want to to keep the "HBCU" title. All one has to do is walk on campus to see that! Drop the title, catch up with the rest of the FCS and maybe SU will improve. There is no longer a need for the SWAC, Grambling and Souther can join the MEAC or Southland and compete.

Athletics is not really a money venture if they're in the SWAC or Southland so they might as well stay with the schools they have traditions with.
