If Freak and Ego return, and if we get Hootie Jones coupled with the players we have committed on the defense right now, the defense could be better...particularly if Gilmore and Bain have a good, productive off-season.

We lose Mett, Landry, Odell, Hill, Collins and a couple more on offense. That is the core of our offense.

We may have a very suitable replacement for Hill in Fournette if he commits (which I think he will). We could have a suitable replacement for either Landry or Odell if we can persuade Dhaquille Williams away from Auburn. Collins is hard to replace, if not impossible.

We may lose a little throwing ability with Mett, but I think Jennings will give us a little more pocket mobility, which should open some things up.

However, unless Diarse can come on strong, I am not confident in any of our other receivers.

Defense could be better if we keep some guys like Freak and/or Ego. It could be worse or the same if not.

Remember too, Texas A&M will be replacing some key players including the QB and maybe even the coach (USCw). Bama will be replacing some on their O-line and QB as well as losing Mosley, Clinton-Dix, etc.

Florida will continue to be what they are currently. Arkansas will be bad again. Auburn ill improve, State will be State and Ole Miss will be likely very good...but we get them at home.

There are a lot of IFs right now, but many of those IFs could fall our way.

I could see 8-4 or I could see 10-2.

Miles has a habit of rebounding from bad seasons. It is hard to see more than 2 or three losses on the schedule though, under any circumstance LINK

We drop UGA and pick up UK for instance...
