needed to lose about 20lbs and thought this would be the easiest way. Already lost 5 lbs. Anyone got any good recipes so I don't end up eating the same damn thing every night?

Stop.
What are you eating in your typical day?
Weight?
How much and how are you exercising?

Do you have to hit the 20 pound number for a specific reason? You can lose 20 on Atkins easily, but the day you get off it you will gain 10 back in ten days.

20lbs
Does not compute.
Do Weight Watchers and/or change your habits in general and you will be better off.
If you are set on Atkins
Chicken wings, bacon, steak, no bun cheesburgers with extra cheese, gigantic pizzas but don't eat the crust, cheese and bacon and ham omelettes, heavy cream.

Stir fried, minced chicken in a lettuce wrap/cup: use diced water chestnuts to boost the crunch factor.

Meat and cheese.
You'll lose that 20 lbs in no time. And gain it back in three days when you start eating "normal" again.

seriously go see a nutritionist and get educated on the subject and your specific areas of need, do your heart and kidneys a favor and stay away from Atkins.

Eat a medium size breakfast.
Eat a big lunch.
Eat a tiny dinner ( almost nothing )
Exercise everyday.
One day a week eat nothing. ( just water, coffee)
You will lose weight without having to cut back on carbs.

Atkins works, you just need to limit your red meat and try to watch your sodium intake, drink as much water as possible and take a multi vitamin designed for seniors, it has no iron supplements, you will get your daily iron levels from all the protein you consume.
I normally have deli turkey and a slice of cheese for breakfast, lunch normally consists of a chicken ceaser salad and dinner is either chicken or some sort of seafood with plenty of vegetables, broccoli, asparagus and spinach salad.
You can also buy a rotisserie chicken for the store, I normally shred the chicken and add olive oil with some jerk chicken seasoning. I also buy low carb whole wheat tortillas, that have 3 net carbs per tortilla and make steak, chicken quesadillas.
It's very easy to follow but drink plenty of water.

Wow lots of opinions
Welcome to FDB
I lost a lot of weight four years back on Adkins and have for the most part kept it off by watching calories since I went off Adkins. The wife hated it because she is not a big protein only person and it was hard to Adkins by myself during the meals we ate together.
If you go Adkins you need to watch your calories, too. You can't lose on Adkins if you eat 2,000 calories a day. I'd try to stay around 1,200-1400 calories and no more than 1,500.
Eat one or two scrambled eggs for breakfast, cooked with minimum butter. Boiled eggs work too and they are about 75 calories an egg so they are fairly calorie friendly. Next day eat a sausage patty or two and one egg. Next day Ham cheese and one egg omlet. Next day bacon and egg. No bread or cereal allowed.
For lunch. eat meat only if you can. eggs will do if you can't eat just meat. Sometimes I'd eat three boiled eggs. If you want a vegetable, stay away from starches no potatoes, rice or bread. If you go to tacobell, they will do you a taco in a bowl with no shell. Subway will sell you a scoop or two of tuna. Wendy's chili has fewer carbs. Hardee's has a bunless burger but you must ask for it - not on menu.
Dinner - no vegetables for first few days, then add no starch vegetables back slowly.
Drink tons of water. eat a little fat each day. it helps to burn the fat. Vitamin C helps burn the fat. Take a multi vitamin to keep your vitamin level up.
Make a big pot of ground beef chili with no tomatoes and no beans.
Rotisserie chicken.
Canned tuna salad with celery, onions dill pickles and a little mayo
Salmon salad made same way.
Baked or grilled fish
Make a pizza with no crust. Cheese, a very little sauce onions and pepperoni in an aluminum pan. Eat with fork.
Make bunless hot dogs. chili, 2 franks, mustard onions and cabbage slaw made with mustard.
low carb ketchup is gross to me - I just gave ketchup up. Actually still do not eat regular ketchup because of the high carb corn syrup in most of them.
Buy some sugar free chocolate if you need a candy fix. Still cant eat a lot of it.
Leafy vegetables work better.
Take Metamucil. It will keep things moving through you.
You must carefully end an Adkins diet or you will just put the weight back on.
If you have a weight problem, give up fries and white bread for good. Consider giving up bread for good.
Get exercise - as in walk a mile a day. Drink tons of water.
If you stay Adkins a long time, you need to go off for three days every four weeks or so, then back onto the diet starting strict (low calories and nothing except protein) for the first few days when you come back onto the diet.
Good luck - the diet absolutely works if done right.
Ketosis is weird. I could tell you what time of the day I would fall into ketosis and start burning fat, just from the feeling.

To everyone who says you will gain the weight back as soon as you go back to eating normally. Guess what? No matter what diet plan you use, if you go back to your pre-diet way of eating, you will gain it back. Choose a new way of eating, not a diet.
Says the person struggling mightily. It's not easy, no matter what.

Is Atkins the diet that doesn't allow fruit?
If you're willing to make a bit of an adjustment, go vegetarian. You can eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want! Limit fats like avocados too often. I have one a day, sometimes a little more. Beans, nuts, grains.
Just a suggestion. It's simple in that you don't have to keep track of how much you eat. Research it or shoot me an email if you have any questions.
Good luck to you in whatever eating style meets your needs

That thread has some results too. Google Whole 30 for other suggestions and recipes. Friend's husband lost 22 pounds in a month.

God knows you people have some great recipes and are food experts but when it comes to nutrition and exercise... not so much.
