i always support him, but after this i really think we need a change before we really start sliding downhill. to take the #6 team in the country into oxford to play an unranked ole miss team that is decimated by injuries and lose?? especially after we already have 1 loss and Bama right around the corner??? this will happen every year now.... time for a change

Not gonna happen. This is what is expected now from the AD and surprisingly a lot more fans than I would have ever imagined. Some EXPECTED us to lose 2-3 this year, so this year is a success due to it. The AD does not expect Championships, only to be in the hunt for them. So this year was a success. Success for many fans and the AD is now PRE Saban levels. It all depends on definitions of success. Far too many will define this year a success to ever think we Miles will EVER feel heat in BR. EVER

You do realize we were picked 3rd in the SEC west and the overwhelming consensus was a 9-3 season with all of the NFL departures.

i know man it just hit me last night. i always felt like we were working towards something. like miles was going to turn some kind of a corner. this is it though. this is all we will be! couple losses a year. lose a few games to teams we shouldnt. whipped by bama every year. good recruits but still dont win. playing down to competition.... now we are losing bowl games too( which we will this year) it all just hit me last night!

it's not the number of losses, to me, but the manner in which we lose. UGA, fine. OM not fine.

and i'm tired of hearing "record number left for draft." It's coaches' job to prepare for that. Bama does. We don't.

Diggy , you are probably right and there is a new defining moment among Tiger fans as to what is success. Now before I get crucified, let me say Ive benn going to LSU games since 1966 and have had season tickets in the family since 1972 so Im well aware of the Archer-Hallman-last 2 years of Dinardo. I had even once said way back that it would be nice tohave a team that you knew year end and year out would lose only 2 to 3 games a year. However, with the constant increase in TAF, ticket prices, parking permits , concessions etc. I too have grown to expect more and am no longer happy with the 2 to 3 losses a year. I know my opinion amounts to nothing but am very concerned with the way the program APPEARS to be heading and again the operative word is appears. Maybe ole Les can pull a rabbit out of the hat and beat Bama and win from here on out but the constant one or two instances a game that has you scratching your head as to what he just did has me unfortunately very doubtful.

Agreed. I caught hell from tadelatt, LSU Champion, LSU Patrick, Nacho Avg Joe, DallasTig45, harry coleman beast,etc..just for calling it the exact par that Vegas made LSU in a BCS Odds thread.

I stated..In 2013, I foresee at least 3 or 4 losses, not a BCS Champ nor unbeaten squad. UGA, Bama, Ole Miss, and then maybe Fla or ATM.

Preseason odds had LSU around a 5 pt dog at UGA, 9 pt at Bama, a 1.5 to 4 pt fav at Ole Miss(Golden Nugget and LVH prices)..

Vegas had LSU's preseason win total bet down from 9.5 to 9 wins, then at 9 Wins the price went from -110 to Under -$1.40.

Bama, UGA, Ole Miss, then maybe ATM or Fla were the rank-and-order that most handicappers and LSU beat writers had ranked in toughest order to win.

Most LSU beat writers picked 9-3.

once ticket prices go up next year people will really be on miles' arse for his 2 to 3 losses a year.

You're right: and we should have a great group of (fired coaches - coaches who have lost to weaker opponents) to choose from:

Nick Saban
texas a&m coach
arkansas coach
stanford coach
clemson coach
florida coach
coach of the BSC championship losing team

And that's just college. There's a ton of NFL coaches who have been favorites and lost also.

Take your pick genius.

Ding Ding Ding
we only expect to be competitive and "in the hunt"
Championships are an occasional by product of having the want to succeed
Alleva is a hack and Miles is not going anywhere.

I blame the coaches, but to think we can get someone better is just stupid. Even if we do, we will take a slide for a few years before climbing back up.

I've doubted him since the day he was hired. Don't get me wrong. I think he is a great guy and a good fit for LSU but his coaching is very questionable. This program is in a state of decline and he seems unable to reverse the trend.

We are going to be 8-4 this year and most likely a bowl loss as well. I don't know how much longer LSU can stand for this mediocre coaching and poor results.

Getting shutout in the National Championship game was the most inexcusable thing that I've ever seen. I don't think any coach can recover from that humiliation.

I really wish he would leave for another job so we could move on.
