We had pity on them. After all, we have the Win bar and all they have is a lousy rock from the actual Death Valley that was used as a doorstop for years. Story of Howard's Rock

I think we should finally change it to the intended name DEAF VALLEY

Not only do they have a sign currently saying welcome to death valley, they are putting another one in the center of the new upper deck. No give up here

What am I missing? "Welcome to Death Valley" has been on the top of the south scoreboard since the west side expansion was completed, has it not? I'm assuming the sign in the pic posted is up this year because the south scoreboard is down.

"Death Valley" was more prominent in 2010-11 than it would have been only as a sign because of Borne's poem. It was part of that outstanding pregame video and on the cover of the 2011 media guide.

May have been due to my frequent overindulging during my college days in the early 90's, but I could have sworn I remember the sign read "Welcome to Deaf Valley" for a little while??

USA Today - Death valley

Fox - Death Valley

quote:

Florida may have “The Swamp,” but Death Valley lives up to its name for opposing teams, as LSU fans scream and shout beyond belief. It's easy to see why opposing players can get rattled here. Tiger stadium gets loud ... very loud. The fans have plenty of time to prepare to go bonkers as Tiger Stadium mostly hosts night games, unlike most other venues.

Athlon - Death valley

SI - Death Valley

You're dumb
