REALLY????

You own me, what???
This means you know NOTHING about the team you support. And an OLD man that is an LSU fan does. That's funny.

2009 Bama was one of the best CFB seasons ever by any team too
Not so, in my opinion. 1995 Nebraska, 2001 Miami, 1988 ND were all far more impressive seasons.
This run by Bama, however, may be the best ever.

So are about 10 others in the last 15-20 years or so.

yeah but the speed of those Miami receivers. Damn. QB kept putting the ball right there. They just kept dropping it. Kind of catches Irvin made in his sleep while beating the hell out of someone.

Yeah and if Miami wasn't auditioning for Star Search after every tackle - they could have won.
They acted like after every tackle - the game was over. Dancing up and down the field.
Nebraska couldn't handle Miami's D-line until it basically quit sucking on fumes in the 4th quarter. But typical cocky idiotic Miami. They led 17-9 going into the 4th quarter and then started just sucking air.
But the reality is, Miami's offense didn't do much to help their D - which was on the field all night.

'94 could have gone to PSU...'97 split and only a split b/c of a miracle win vs. Mizzou...otherwise, Michigan takes the whole cake.
in 94 i think penn state was a better team and would have beat nebraska. 95 greatest team of all time. 97 nebraska was better than michigan and would have won heads up.
nebraska's 4 yr run was insane. 2 of 3 losses came in 96 starting a new qb.

Did someone mention Miami's speedy receivers?

Couldn't help myself
That 1992 play still cracks me up and isn't CFB great

That's reasonable.
People who don't give '94 PSU the credit they deserve are idiots who weren't alive then. The story that year was Penn State! They were setting the college football world on fire with an offense which was ridiculous - nobody had seen a team score so quickly.
The team got hurt by perception in a game against Illinois where two Hail Mary's made the game seem close - and people harped on their D - which was pretty good - but it was on the field all day long because PSU would score in about 1 minute and 30 seconds every drive.
Coupled with "Dr. Tom" announcing he was going to retire at the end of the season...(which he reneged on) and the voters in both polls gave him the vote over Penn State.
'94 Penn State and '05 USC were the best offenses I've ever seen in college football from 1984 onward.

2 conference titles in 4 years isn't impressive. Bcs titles are subjective as hell and the only title the coaches and players have complete control over is their conference title. You don't get voted into the seccg. No amount of media bias or coaches voting certain teams lower to get in the game, can get you into the seccg.
