The difference, Mariota has only played a full game, once this season. But yea, Manziel is vastly superior
Don't get me wrong, not just anyone can put up the numbers Mariota has... But I think he benefits from the system at Oregon where they always seem to be putting up incredible offensive numbers until they play a strong defense, as opposed to A&M where manziel is the system and he also seems to have solid games against the best defenses, lsu notwithstanding.

While I agree that Manziel is a slightly better college QB, don't doubt how much positive effect Sumlin's system has for Manziel.
With the back up in both last year and this year, while not at Manziel levels, the offense was still extremely potent. In the first half of the Rice game, their offense put up 315 of their 486 yards (65% of their offense) and 28 points (54% of points scored). On top of that, Joekel threw for like 190 yards in the first half.
Granted that is against Rice, but Sumlin has a history of potent offenses throughout his career.
