I liked it. It is very very dark, but the characters are very intriguing. Glokta is probably one of my favorite characters ever.
I only read the trilogy, but there a are a few one-off books that look pretty good too.

I want to read it but its not available on iBooks, and I'm too lazy to go to a bookstore anymore.
