Regardless of all this, Hootie is a must get for LSU. We simply cannot lose a defensive DB of his caliber to Bama of all people. The depth chart is wide open here. He can play immediately. He has to be close with most of our commits and/or prospects more so than Bama's.

Absolutely. and trying to pretend that some other in-state kid wont be much of a drop off if we miss hootie is crazy.. Coaches are aware how important it is to get hootie. plus how do you justify losing 2 top recruits in your state to Bama.. You can't spin that into anything positive

The same way any school does it every year. LSU can't get every single kid it wants in state AND get the top guys from other states EVERY year.

To think you can is just stupid. We spend too much time talking about who we don't get instead of the guys who do.

Every school?
We are competing against these slapdicks that have won the last 3 out of 4 years so yes it does matter. Losing 2 recruits from Louisiana to say ole miss wouldn't bother us. To say losing 2 5 star recruits to bama is what every school goes through is just bullshite.

LOL

you don't think losing 2 5* recruits to Ole Miss would bother LSU fans?

Not even close to the level that it will if they went to bama. When has Ole Miss been a threat winning the SEC?

Everyone from UGA wasn't really born there. They came from other places. Tenn has other big schools in there state

Every school, in that, even Bama loses top guys from their own state.

2012 is a great example

Saban's ties to La is the main reason we have to battle him every year.

LSU does a great job of getting top guys all over the country...so losing a top guy here now and then isn't as big a deal imo.

They are on the upswing and I guarantee you if they continue to get top talent the rivalry will feel real again.

Once Saban is no longer at Alabama this problem will shrivel up and die. Oh happy days

they will never match the class they got last year. It's a very ho hum class if Freeze didnt have Kkemdiche's brother already on the team to deliver Robert and in turn land Treadwell and Tunsil.

I would be more worried about losing top recruits to Ole Miss. I can understand the allure of Bama, but Ole Miss? This justification is retarded.
